Headlice Safety Measures

Please don’t risk your childs safety by using products not meant for headlice. These include:

• Kerosene
• Dog Flee Shampoo
• Agricultural Insecticides
• Fly /Surface Spray

Also be aware if you purchase a headlice chemical product you can only treat every 7 days. If the product is over used the possible side effect is chemical burn. Also be aware that the scalp is the most absorbent part of the body.

Research has shown that over-use or incorrect use of chemical treatments has led to increased resistence being built up by headlice to these chemicals.

So this is why we suggest playing safe and using the conditioner and comb method. By using plain white conditioner you can treat every second day and stay on top of the problem.

However, if you treat the head and do not follow up for 7 days, there is a good chance you would have missed eggs/lice and the cycle will continue. This is why most parents feel they have a constent problem.
